The beta testing phase has concluded, marking the arrival of Marvel Rivals' inaugural season. This major update introduces fresh content and gameplay refinements. Here's an in-depth look at all notable changes.
What's New in Season One?

Season Theme: A vampire onslaught commanded by Dracula! The Fantastic Four enter the battle against darkness, with two members immediately playable and others arriving throughout the season.
New Heroes

Mister Fantastic: A mid-range fighter capable of rapid positioning between allies and enemies, dealing area damage while mitigating incoming attacks.
Invisible Woman: This support specialist heals allies with her attacks, creates protective barriers, manipulates enemy positioning, and can vanish from sight.
New Maps and Mode

"Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown" adds two combat zones featuring iconic New York landmarks amidst urban destruction. The new "Doom Match" mode accommodates 8-12 players, declaring the top 50% performers as victors upon reaching knockout thresholds.
Battle Pass

The revamped Battle Pass offers double the content of the beta version, aligning with the standard three-month seasonal format. Among ten cosmetics, eight require premium access. Notably, Peni Parker's Blue Tarantula skin offers minimal visual differentiation from the default.
Celestial Rank

The ranking system now includes a "Celestial" division between Grandmaster and Eternity, divided into three tiers. Seasonal resets will deduct seven rank levels from players' final beta standing (e.g., Platinum I becomes Silver II).
Hero Balance Updates

Vanguard Class

Captain America receives multiple enhancements:
- Shield cooldown reduced from 3s to 2s
- Rush ability cooldown decreased from 12s to 10s
- Base health increased from 650 to 675
- Ultimate cost lowered from 3,400 to 3,100, now granting 100 health instead of 110
Doctor Strange sees range adjustments:
- Maelstrom of Madness damage falloff begins at 8m (from 5m)
- Shield regeneration reduced from 80/s to 70/s

Thor gains crowd control immunity during ultimate activation and 25 additional health points. Hulk's gamma Shield provides 200 health (down from 250), while Venom receives damage and armor scaling enhancements.
Duelist Class

Black Panther sees reduced health bonuses from Spirit Rend (40→30) and maximum bonus health (120→75). Black Widow's improvements include expanded ability radii and faster ultimate activation.
Hawkeye receives minor nerfs to passive activation range and maximum bonus damage. Hela's health reduction (275→250) aims to balance her dominant performance.
Storm emerges as a major beneficiary with projectile speed, damage, and ultimate health improvements. Wolverine gains 50 additional health points despite already strong survivability.
Strategist Class

Cloak & Dagger's ability cooldowns and mobility see improvement, while Luna Snow receives minor animation delays. Rocket Raccoon's healing output increases to 70 units per second.
Team-Up Modifiers

Seasonal synergy bonuses see Hawkeye and Hela reduced by 5%, while Namor, Rocket Raccoon, Magneto, and Storm receive various damage and utility improvements.
These refinements represent measured adjustments rather than dramatic overhauls. The true metagame impact will become apparent as players explore the new character additions and revised mechanics throughout the season.
