Bandai Namco's popular fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially shutting down on December 9th, 2024. This news, while unfortunate for dedicated players, comes as little surprise given the game's decline in recent years. This isn't the first Naruto gacha game to meet this fate, mirroring the closure of Naruto Blazing.
Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage's Final Events:
The game's seven-year run will conclude with several final events:
- Village Leader World Championship: October 8th - 18th
- All-Out Mission: October 18th - November 1st
- "Thanks For Everything" Campaign: November 1st - December 1st
Players can continue to enjoy summoning events, collect Ninja Cards, and utilize in-game items until the shutdown date. Any remaining Gold Coins should be spent before December 9th.
The Game's Decline:
While initially praised for its balanced gameplay, featuring village building, trap setting, and character-based defense, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage's later development introduced significant issues. The introduction of Minato Namikaze marked a shift towards power creep, alienating many players. Increased pay-to-win mechanics, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the near-disappearance of multiplayer features further contributed to the game's downfall.
The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those wishing to experience it before its closure. In other gaming news, check out our coverage of Wings Of Heroes' latest update featuring Squadron Wars.
