Leaked Assassin's Creed Shadows Artbook Surfaces Online
Details about the upcoming Assassin's Creed Shadows have emerged following an alleged leak of an artbook, surprisingly found on a hentai website, among other locations. The discovery, highlighted on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, has quickly spread across the internet. The artbook, titled "The Art of Assassin's Creed Shadows," reportedly contains hundreds of pages of concept art, quotes, and development information related to the next Assassin's Creed installment.
While the leak itself is noteworthy, its origin adds an unexpected twist. IGN has reached out to Ubisoft for comment. Although the original source has removed the gallery, archived versions are circulating on various file-sharing platforms.

The leaked material showcases concept art featuring prominent historical figures, major cities, and a variety of weaponry. The art also seemingly reveals potential plot spoilers for Assassin's Creed Shadows, although confirmation awaits the game's release. However, the images appear authentic.
The leak arrives shortly before Assassin's Creed Shadows' revised launch date of March 20, 2025, following a delay from its initial 2024 release window. A recent preview event shed light on the delay. Game director Charles Benoit explained that the postponement, primarily focused on polishing, didn't significantly alter core gameplay systems. While minor adjustments were made to enhance engagement and balance, the parkour system received the most attention. The complexity of Feudal Japanese architecture presented a unique challenge.
Benoit stated, "The Japanese architecture, the roofs [are] super complex...We needed specific codes and specific animations to support something super fluid, changing the transition of the parkour to make it even more fluid." This refinement, he added, significantly improved the game's feel in recent months.
