The controversial new system, which introduced two $9.99 battle passes per season and eliminated the option to purchase the premium pass with in-game Apex Coins, has been scrapped. Season 22, launching August 6th, will revert to the previous model.
Respawn admitted to poor communication surrounding the proposed changes and pledged improved transparency in future updates. They reiterated their commitment to addressing player concerns, including combating cheaters, enhancing game stability, and delivering quality-of-life improvements. The Original and Revised Battle Pass Schemes
The battle pass system for Season 22 is now simplified:
