更新后的内容指南中，任天堂扩大了执法范围。他们不仅可以对违反这些规定的内容发出 DMCA 下架通知，还可以主动删除违反其指南的内容，并限制创作者进一步分享任天堂游戏内容。此前，任天堂只能反对被认为“非法、侵权或不当”的内容。这意味着，被发现违反这些规定的内容创作者可能会被禁止在其平台上展示任天堂相关内容。
虽然“非法、侵权或不当”可以涵盖各种各样的内容，但任天堂在其指南的常见问题解答中提供了一些示例。值得注意的是，他们在其禁止内容列表中添加了两个新的示例：
