Tencent Pushes Back The Hidden Ones Pre-Alpha Playtest to Next Month

The highly anticipated pre-alpha playtest for The Hidden Ones, the action brawler based on the popular Hitori No Shita: The Outcast universe, has been delayed. Originally slated for next week, Tencent Games and MoreFun Studios have pushed the playtest back to February 27th, 2025. This two-month extension will allow the developers to refine the game and ensure a superior player experience. The announcement was made via the game's official website.

A Deeper Dive into The Hidden Ones

Blending Eastern philosophies like Taoism and Yin Yang with modern martial arts, The Hidden Ones immerses players in a cinematic storyline centered around the Outcasts. Players will master unique character abilities and confront increasingly difficult bosses, each representing a chapter in the overarching martial arts saga. Boss encounters evolve dynamically, adapting to the player's skill progression.

The game features several modes, including a competitive Duel mode with intense player-versus-player combat and an innovative action roulette mechanic that allows players to temporarily acquire opponents' skills. A challenging Trial mode presents a series of escalating boss battles that demand mastery of diverse characters and fighting styles.
