据德林说，一些开发者被告知不要预期Switch 2在本财年内发布。“我交谈过的开发者都不认为它会在本财年发布，”德林说。“事实上，他们被告知不要在本财年期待它。我与之交谈的一些人希望它在四月或五月左右发布，仍然是明年年初，而不是年末。”
