Devotees of the classic 1990s animated series Spider-Man: The Animated Series have eagerly sought a revival, particularly after X-Men '97 debuted in 2024. While a new animated continuation remains unannounced (as Marvel focuses on new seasons of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man), the beloved Spidey saga will extend through comics with Spider-Man '94.
Spider-Man '94 is a four-issue limited series that resumes the storyline from the show's infamous 1998 cliffhanger finale. The comic reunites Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson in New York while introducing two formidable villains making their first appearance in this animated universe. The series is penned by longtime Spider-Man writer (and contributor to the original show) J.M. DeMatteis, featuring art by Jim Towe (Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse) and variant covers by Nick Bradshaw, Ron Lim, and John Tyler Christopher.
