PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup: 12 Teams Remain!
The first stage of the PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup (EWC), held in Saudi Arabia as part of the larger Gamers8 event, has concluded. The initial field of 24 teams has been cut in half, leaving 12 contenders vying for a share of the $3 million prize pool.
For those unfamiliar with the EWC, it's a significant esports tournament showcasing some of the biggest mobile games. PUBG Mobile's participation has proven highly successful, with Alliance currently leading the standings.
Following this weekend's intense competition, the 12 qualifying teams will enjoy a one-week break before returning for the final stage, scheduled for July 27th and 28th.

Global Impact
While the long-term impact of the PUBG Mobile World Cup on global viewership remains to be seen, its presence at the EWC has generated significant buzz. It's worth noting, however, that this event isn't the largest on PUBG Mobile's esports calendar, and upcoming tournaments may potentially overshadow its impact.
Meanwhile, the 12 teams eliminated from the main competition will have a second chance. From July 23rd to 24th, they'll compete in the Survival Stage for two coveted spots in the final. This promises to be a thrilling showdown!
