Reviver: First Butterfly sees the time-based narrative game finally arrive on iOS

Jan 17,2025 Author: Zachary

Reviver: Butterfly, the charming narrative game, finally flutters onto iOS and Android! Initially slated for a Winter 2024 release, it's arriving slightly later than expected, but the wait is almost over! Launching January 17th, this title allows players to subtly influence the lives of two lovers, guiding their paths towards a shared destiny.

For those unfamiliar, Reviver was featured here back in October. Interestingly, the mobile versions will be titled Reviver: Butterfly (iOS/Android) and Reviver: Premium. Despite the name variations, both are essentially the same game. Players take on the role of a gentle force of nature, subtly shaping events to unite the two protagonists without ever directly interacting with them. Witness their journey from youth to old age, a heartwarming and engaging experience.

A Name Game and Early Access

The challenges of releasing indie games on mobile are numerous, including securing unique app names. This naming hurdle seems to have delayed Reviver's arrival, but its presence on mobile is certainly welcome news! The iOS app store listing reveals a free prologue, allowing potential players to sample the game before committing. Even better, mobile players will experience Reviver before its official Steam launch!
