2024年11月26日，Pokémon公司打破了吉尼斯世界纪录中“最长开箱直播”的纪录。这场直播活动是为了庆祝宝可梦集换式卡牌游戏最新扩展包《宝可梦卡牌游戏：绯红·紫罗兰-激流火花》的推出。
直播邀请了知名网络红人，包括Serebii网站站长Joe Merrick以及社交媒体影响者PokeGirl Ranch和Mayplaystv。这场直播在Pokémon的Twitch频道上进行了超过24小时。三位网络红人一共打开了1500包增强包，还拆开了其他宝可梦周边产品。根据Pokémon官方新闻网站的消息，直播结束后，他们一共收集了超过2万张卡牌。
Pokémon国际公司市场部高级总监Peter Murphy对这一成就感到非常自豪。“24小时的开包过程令人难以置信，我们很高兴能与一群优秀的创作者一起获得如此令人瞩目的吉尼斯世界纪录称号，”他说。

直播期间收集的卡牌将被装订好，“并在节日前捐赠给慈善机构，包括英国的Barnardo’s。”
宝可梦集换式卡牌游戏的最新扩展包于2024年11月8日正式发售，它将玩家带到了《宝可梦：绯红·紫罗兰》DLC第二部分《靛蓝圆盘》的主要地点——奇异空间。扩展包中包含了闪耀的太晶宝可梦ex，包括拥有终极防御技能“金属防御”的阿尔宙斯ex。
这个新的扩展包还包含了标志性的龙系宝可梦，例如帕路奇亚、帝牙卢卡、艾特纳斯、阿罗拉椰蛋树ex和赤齿鳞ex。为了营造热带氛围，扩展包中还包含了插图稀有卡和特别插图稀有卡，例如阿罗拉三地鼠和霏丝，描绘了“平静的海浪和温和的微风”。新的太晶宝可梦ex也加入其中，例如沙奈朵ex和沙漠蜻蜓ex，为集换式卡牌游戏玩家的卡组增添更多乐趣。
这个新的扩展包也可以在宝可梦集换式卡牌游戏Live应用程序中获得。数字玩家甚至可以通过收集和对战最新的闪耀太晶宝可梦ex来获得游戏内奖励。
