Pokémon Go Announces January 2025 Community Day Featuring Sprigatito!

Get ready, Pokémon Go trainers! The first Community Day of 2025 is set for January 5th, and the spotlight is on Sprigatito! From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, encounter rates for this Grass-type starter Pokémon will be significantly boosted.

This Community Day presents a fantastic opportunity to add Sprigatito to your collection, or bolster your existing numbers. Evolving Sprigatito into Floragato and then Meowscarada during the event (or within the five-hour post-event window) will unlock the powerful Charged Attack, Frenzy Plant. It will also permanently learn Flower Trick, significantly increasing its battle prowess.

Enjoy boosted rewards throughout the event! Catch Pokémon to earn triple Stardust and double Candy. Trainers level 31 and above will have double the chance of getting Candy XL. Lure Modules and Incense will last three hours, and trades will cost half the usual Stardust, with an extra Special Trade available.

For an even more rewarding experience, a paid Special Research story will be available for $2, granting access to exclusive rewards such as a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, and increased Sprigatito encounters. A free Timed Research task will also be offered, providing a week to complete challenges and earn a Sprigatito with a special Dual Destiny-themed background.

Don't forget to check the in-game shop for Community Day bundles featuring Super Incubators, Elite Charged TMs, and Lucky Eggs. Sprigatito-themed stickers will also be available through PokéStops, Gifts, and direct purchase. And remember to redeem those Pokémon Go codes for extra goodies!
