PlayStation Productions Unveils Ambitious Slate of Game Adaptations at CES 2025
PlayStation Productions made a significant splash at CES 2025, announcing a wave of new game adaptations spanning various genres and formats. The January 7th presentation showcased projects extending beyond 2025, solidifying PlayStation's commitment to expanding its franchises into new media.
Key Announcements:
- Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Anime Series: A new anime series based on Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, a co-op mode from the popular game, is in the works, slated for a 2027 premiere exclusively on Crunchyroll. Directed by Takanobu Mizumo and with story composition by Gen Urobuchi, the series will feature music and soundtrack production by Sony Music.
- Horizon Zero Dawn and Helldivers 2 Films: Feature films based on Horizon Zero Dawn (produced by Sony Pictures) and Helldivers 2 (produced by Columbia Pictures) are officially in development. Details remain scarce at this time.
