Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Announces Free

The holiday break is behind us, so let's dive back into some exciting gaming news! While we're all still waiting with bated breath for Nintendo Switch 2 updates, we have some fresh details on a highly anticipated title: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled new gameplay footage, showcasing the Hawaiian pirate adventure and revealing several key features.

The showcased gameplay highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and a diverse range of explorable locations. Goro Majima will boast two distinct combat styles: a nimble, speed-focused approach and a more tactical style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing their skills to battles, exploration, and treasure hunts. The game promises hidden islands brimming with secrets and original side quests to uncover.

A significant announcement came at the presentation's close: the highly requested "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This is a welcome change from the previous title, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this mode was exclusive to the pricier edition, drawing criticism towards SEGA. This positive development means we only have to wait roughly six weeks until the game's official launch.
