Path of Exile 2's Atlas Endgame: A Comprehensive Guide to Delirium
Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) features four major endgame map events: Rituals, Breaches, Expeditions, and Delirium. This guide focuses on Delirium, a returning mechanic from previous PoE leagues, explaining how to initiate and maximize your rewards.
Understanding the Delirium Fog Mechanic

Delirium events are indicated on the Atlas by a unique icon resembling a shattered mirror. To guarantee a Delirium event, place a Delirium Precursor Tablet in a Lost Tower.
Within a Delirium map, locate the Delirium Mirror near your spawn. Activating it unleashes a spreading circle of Delirium Fog. Enemies within the fog are significantly stronger but offer superior rewards. Leaving the fog ends the encounter.
Enemies within the fog drop valuable items:
- Distilled Emotions: Used for crafting and anointing amulets.
- Simulacrum Splinters: Used to summon the Simulacrum Pinnacle Boss.
- Fractured Mirrors: Interacting with these spawns additional mobs and loot.
Two powerful bosses, Kosis and Omniphobia, can randomly appear during a Delirium encounter. These are substantial challenges, not merely rare enemies.
The Simulacrum Pinnacle Event
Reaching high Waystone tiers yields Simulacrum Splinters. Accumulate 300 splinters to create a Simulacrum, which you place in the Realmgate. This initiates a challenging 15-wave encounter with increasing difficulty. Kosis and Omniphobia have a higher chance of appearing in later waves. Completion rewards two Delirium Passive Skill points and a guaranteed unique item.
The Delirium Passive Skill Tree

The Delirium Passive Skill Tree, located on the Atlas Passive Skill Tree (top-right), modifies Delirium encounters. It features eight Notable nodes and eight nodes increasing Simulacrum difficulty. Each new Notable node requires completing a Simulacrum at an increased difficulty.
Here's a selection of Notable Delirium Passive nodes:

Delirium Rewards

Delirium enemies drop Distilled Emotions. These are used to Anoint amulets with Notable Passive Skills or add guaranteed modifiers to Waystones.

Simulacrum Splinters, obtained from enemies, are combined to create the Simulacrum for the Pinnacle event. Completing the Simulacrum guarantees a unique item in addition to Passive Skill points. The types of Distilled Emotions are shown above.
This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the Delirium endgame encounter in PoE 2. Mastering this mechanic will significantly enhance your endgame progression.
