HoYoVerse's parent company, MiHoYo, is making waves with its upcoming game, originally titled Astaweave Haven. This intriguing title, even before its official unveiling, has undergone a significant transformation, receiving a new name: Petit Planet.
For fans of gacha games and RPGs, Astaweave Haven might sound familiar. While official details remain scarce, this project marks a potential departure from HoYoVerse's typical open-world gacha adventures. Instead of another gacha RPG, Astaweave Haven, now Petit Planet, appears to be leaning towards a life simulation or management game, evoking the charm of titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.
The name change itself is a welcome surprise. "Petit Planet" offers a sweeter, more approachable feel, subtly hinting at its management sim nature, distinct from MiHoYo's established gacha RPGs.
Release Date Uncertainty
Currently, the game's release date remains unconfirmed. While Astaweave Haven secured approval in China for PC and mobile platforms in July, HoYoVerse registered the new name, Petit Planet, on October 31st. The name change now awaits approval in the US and UK.
Given MiHoYo/HoYoVerse's rapid development and release cycle (consider the quick succession of Zenless Zone Zero after Honkai: Star Rail), we can anticipate a swift rollout once the name change receives regulatory clearance. Hopefully, a first look at Petit Planet will follow closely.
