This success follows a Google Play Best Made in India Game 2024 award and a successful international playtest in Manila.
The game's developer, SuperGaming, aims to establish Indus as a leading title in the Indian gaming market, potentially outpacing competitors like FAU-G: Domination. The Manila playtest at the YGG Play Summit provided valuable feedback and exposure.
Further bolstering its esports ambitions, SuperGaming launched the Clutch India Movement, featuring the Indus International Tournament. This tournament, running from October 2024 to February 2025, boasts a prize pool of INR 2.5 crores (approximately $31,000).
Impressive Growth, Continued Potential
While the five million downloads are impressive, they fall slightly short of the initial ten million pre-registrations. However, pre-registration numbers often don't fully translate to actual downloads, and the lower iOS download count suggests a need for further market penetration in that segment.
