Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack adds two classic F-Zero GBA racers!
Get ready to experience the thrill of high-speed futuristic racing! Nintendo has announced the addition of two exhilarating F-Zero Game Boy Advance titles to the Switch Online + Expansion Pack, launching October 11, 2024.

F-Zero: GP Legend and F-Zero Climax Arrive
The highly anticipated additions include F-Zero: GP Legend and the previously Japan-exclusive F-Zero Climax. This marks the first time many players outside Japan will have the chance to experience F-Zero Climax.
The F-Zero franchise, known for its groundbreaking speed and intense competition, debuted in Japan over 30 years ago. Its influence on the racing genre is undeniable, inspiring titles like SEGA's Daytona USA. F-Zero games have consistently pushed the boundaries of console technology, earning a reputation as some of the fastest racing experiences on retro consoles like the SNES.

Similar to the popular Mario Kart series, F-Zero challenges players to navigate treacherous tracks, battling opponents in their unique "F-Zero machines." The series' iconic protagonist, Captain Falcon, also features prominently in the Super Smash Bros. franchise.
F-Zero: GP Legend initially launched in Japan in 2003, followed by a global release in 2004. F-Zero Climax, released in Japan in 2004, remained a region-exclusive title until now—a gap of nearly two decades, a period explained in part by the immense popularity of Mario Kart, according to F-Zero game designer Takaya Imamura. This long wait ends with the release of F-Zero 99 last year.
This October 2024 update to the Switch Online + Expansion Pack will allow subscribers to enjoy both F-Zero Climax and F-Zero: GP Legend, competing in Grand Prix, story modes, and various time trials.
