Flappy Bird Soars Back: New Gameplay Unveiled After Decade Long Hiatus

Flappy Bird is back! The iconic game returns in an expanded edition this Fall 2024, over a decade after its initial release. Missed the frantic flapping? You'll have another chance across multiple platforms, with initial releases in Q3 2024 and Android/iOS versions planned for 2025.

What's New?

This revival is thanks to the Flappy Bird Foundation, a group of dedicated fans who secured the trademark and rights to the original character, and even the rights to Piou Piou vs. Cactus, the game that inspired Flappy Bird!

The relaunch promises new game modes, characters, and multiplayer challenges. While core gameplay remains, expect enhanced difficulty, new progression systems, and a redesigned overall experience.

Excited for Flappy Bird's Return?

Simple, infuriating, and undeniably addictive, the original Flappy Bird captivated gamers worldwide before its 2014 removal from app stores. Numerous clones followed, but none captured the magic of the original. Now, the genuine article is back, offering a fresh chance to navigate those infamous green pipes.

Official platform pages are yet to launch, so follow the Flappy Bird Foundation's official X (formerly Twitter) account for updates.
