Tactical Adventures has released a free demo for Solasta II, the highly anticipated turn-based tactical RPG sequel set in the expansive universe of Dungeons & Dragons. Following up on the success of Solasta: Crown of the Magister, this new installment challenges players to build a party of four heroes and journey across the perilous lands of Neokhos. In their quest for redemption, players will face off against an ancient evil threatening to engulf the world.
The game emphasizes player freedom, both in exploration and decision-making. Every choice made throughout the adventure influences the story's direction and ultimate conclusion, offering a deeply personalized experience that evolves with each playthrough.
Faithful to its roots, the demo preserves core elements from the original Solasta, including deep tactical combat built around strategic turns, detailed character customization, and immersive NPC interactions. For newcomers, the "Helpful Dice" feature is enabled by default, helping mitigate long streaks of bad luck on dice rolls. This setting can be disabled for veteran players seeking a more traditional challenge.
Environmental interaction remains a pivotal gameplay mechanic, enabling players to manipulate terrain for tactical advantages during combat—adding another layer of depth to already complex battles.
Players have the option to tackle the demo solo or team up with friends in cooperative multiplayer mode, reminiscent of the co-op experience found in Divinity: Original Sin. The demo presents a variety of class-specific scenarios and encounters, giving players a solid taste of what to expect from the full game’s expansive content.
Tactical Adventures encourages players to provide feedback based on their demo experience, which will be instrumental in shaping and refining the final release.
For smooth performance, the game requires at least an Intel Core i5-8400 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a dedicated graphics card such as the NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD RX 580. These moderate system requirements ensure that a wide range of PCs can run the game without significant hardware upgrades.
