Crunchyroll brings the rhythm-based roguelike, Crypt of the NecroDancer, to Android! Now available as "Crunchyroll: NecroDancer," this beat-matching adventure originally launched on PC in 2015, and now returns with expanded content for mobile.
Originally developed by Brace Yourself Games, the game previously saw limited releases on iOS and Android. This Crunchyroll version, however, boasts a wealth of added features for both iOS and Android users.
What awaits you in the Crypt?
Players step into the shoes of Cadence, a treasure hunter's daughter searching for her missing parent within a rhythmically challenging crypt. The roguelike nature ensures each playthrough is unique.
Explore the crypt with 15 playable characters, each boasting distinctive styles and challenges. Dance to the infectious original soundtrack by Danny Baranowsky, dodging enemies, collecting loot, and navigating procedurally generated dungeons. Maintaining rhythm is key; miss a beat, and you're out! Expect a diverse cast of enemies, from dancing skeletons to hip-hop-loving dragons.
More Than Just a Port
This mobile release isn't just a simple port. Crunchyroll and the developers have included remixes, new content, and even Danganronpa character skins. Cross-platform multiplayer and mod support are also included. Further, Hatsune Miku DLC and the Synchrony expansion are slated for later this year.
Crunchyroll subscribers can access this rhythm roguelike immediately via the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for more gaming news, including the upcoming Star Trek Lower Decks x Doctor Who crossover!
