No More Collecting Stage Girls! Revue Starlight Re LIVE Announces Its EOS

Revue Starlight Re LIVE is officially shutting down. The mobile game, based on the anime series, will cease operations on September 30th, 2024, at 07:00 UTC, ending nearly six years of service.

Reasons for the Shutdown:

Revue Starlight Re LIVE, while initially a promising extension of the anime's storyline, struggled to maintain player engagement. Factors contributing to its closure include repetitive events, reused assets, and expensive battle passes. Furthermore, narrative inconsistencies, such as abrupt character shifts in the plot, negatively impacted the game's reception. The shutdown affects the game globally, including Japan.

Positive Aspects:

Despite its shortcomings, the game boasted a strong soundtrack featuring music from the anime and impressive 3D graphics and Live2D animations.

A Final Farewell:

Although the game's lifespan is nearing its end, players still have a few weeks to enjoy remaining content. Developers are implementing several events in August and September, including a "Thank You For Everything" campaign offering ten free daily pulls and a two-month birthday celebration featuring "New Stage Girl Gacha" events. Download the game from the Google Play Store for a final playthrough.
