Chernobyl Sequel Unveils Captivating Endings

Jan 26,2025 Author: Zoey

This guide details the four distinct endings in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, influenced by player choices in three key missions: Subtle Matter, Dangerous Liaisons, and The Last Wish. A manual save before Legends of the Zone allows players to experience all endings without a full replay.

Choices That Determine Your Ending

Three crucial missions shape the game's conclusion. Conveniently, these missions occur late in the game, enabling players to save before them and explore all four endings.

She Will Never Be Free

  • Subtle Matter: Choose "Life is for the living."
  • Dangerous Liaisons: Choose "[Escape]."
  • The Last Wish: Choose "[Fire]."

This ending aligns with Strelok's vision of protecting the Zone. Players must antagonize all other factions: reject Scar, flee Korshunov, and eliminate Kaymanov.

Project Y

  • Subtle Matter: Choose "Life is for the living."
  • Dangerous Liaisons: Choose "[Escape]."
  • The Last Wish: Choose "[Lower the Gun]."

Similar to the previous ending, but instead of killing Kaymanov, players spare him, siding with his scientific approach to observing the Zone's natural evolution.

Today Never Ends

  • Subtle Matter: Choose "Eternal spring."
  • Dangerous Liaisons: Choose "[Escape]."
  • The Last Wish: This mission's choice is irrelevant for this ending.

This ending involves aiding Scar and the Spark faction. Scar's belief in reaching the Shining Zone through a pod is central to this outcome. Only two missions directly impact this ending.

Brave New World

  • Subtle Matter: Choose "Life is for the living."
  • Dangerous Liaisons: Choose "I'm not your enemy."
  • The Last Wish: This mission's choice is irrelevant for this ending.

This ending features an alliance with Colonel Krushunov and The Ward, resulting in the destruction of the Zone. Like the Spark ending, only two missions influence this outcome.
