Detective Title Remains Obtainable After WoW Anniversary Event
World of Warcraft has relocated Alyx, the NPC responsible for the Guest Relations mystery quests from the 20th anniversary celebration, to Dornogal. Though the original event questline has ended, players can still hunt for missing Celebration Crates to earn the coveted Detective title and begin tracking down the rare Felcycle mount.
Continue the Celebration Crate Hunt
The 20th anniversary festivities have concluded, removing most seasonal activities and decorations from the Caverns of Time. However, Alyx remains in the game as a "Volunteer Event Coordinator" near the Delver's Headquarters in Dornogal. Their clue board still provides hints to locate 11 hidden Celebration Crates across Azeroth.
How to Earn Your Detective Badge
- Visit Alyx (a Lightforged Draenei) near the hot springs northwest of Delver's Headquarters
- Examine the nearby board for clues about crate locations
- Collect and return 6 crates for the Crate Insurance Agent achievement
- Find all 11 crates to unlock three achievements and the Detective title
Unlocking Hidden Mysteries
The Detective title serves as a key to start the mystery chain leading to Incognitro, the Indecipherable Felcycle mount. While players need to be level 10 to begin crate quests, they must reach level 68 to access Dornogal.
Note that other Guest Relations quests and their associated rewards (including the Thinking Cap transmog) are no longer available since they required the anniversary event setting. However, Blizzard may introduce alternative methods to obtain these items in future updates.
This permanent relocation ensures all players, regardless of when they join World of Warcraft, can pursue the detective storyline and its elusive mount reward without time restrictions.
