Vigilant: Burn & Bloom, a new endless survival game, is currently in soft launch on iOS. Players take on the role of the Sentinel, an ecosystem guardian battling hordes of fiery elemental beings.
This isn't a simple good vs. evil scenario. The Sentinel's task is to maintain balance, managing and controlling the fire elementals rather than simply destroying them. When the fiery creatures become overwhelming, however, decisive action is required.
The game features a unique blend of action and strategy. Players rotate their phones to aim and unleash water orbs against the fire elementals. Between battles, the Sentinel retreats to their "Batcave" (a subterranean base) to upgrade abilities and powers.

The game cleverly avoids the typical good-versus-evil trope often seen in elemental conflict narratives, presenting a more nuanced approach to ecological balance. While the action is undeniably satisfying, the strategic element of management sets it apart from typical "kill-em-all" shooters.
Vigilant: Burn & Bloom's worldwide iOS launch is slated for December 2024, with an Android release anticipated in Q1 2025.
