Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their acclaimed sandbox game, Teardown. The developers have announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, fulfilling a long-standing goal and a much-requested feature from the community. Alongside this, they are set to release the Folkrace DLC, which promises to enrich the single-player experience with new maps, vehicles, and thrilling racing challenges. Players will have the opportunity to compete in various events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles to dominate the tracks.
The multiplayer mode will initially be available on Steam’s Experimental Branch, allowing players early access to test and provide feedback on the new feature. Tuxedo Labs is particularly keen on receiving insights from the modding community, as they will also release updates to the game’s API. These updates will enable modders to adapt their creations for use in multiplayer environments, ensuring that existing mods can seamlessly integrate into this new mode.
This announcement marks a significant milestone for Tuxedo Labs, as they bring to life a vision that has been eagerly anticipated by fans. Once the testing phase concludes, multiplayer will transition from an experimental feature to a core component of Teardown.
Looking forward, Tuxedo Labs has teased that two additional major DLCs are in development, with more details to be revealed later in 2025. This ongoing commitment to expanding and enhancing Teardown showcases the team's dedication to delivering an ever-evolving and engaging gaming experience.
