How To Study a Historical Display in The Sims 4 Blast From the Past Event

Feb 24,2025 Author: Blake

Week 2 of The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event is underway, presenting players with a puzzling museum-based challenge. This guide explains how to successfully study a Historical Display.

Locating a Historical Display

The Week 2 quest requires studying a Historical Display within a museum. Experienced players likely know their local museum's location. New players should consult their in-game map, searching for the pillar icon denoting museums. While four exist, Municipal Muses (Willow Creek) and The Future's Past (Oasis Springs) are conveniently located near other event tasks.

Completing the Study Task

Upon entering a museum, locate a painting or sculpture (both qualify as Historical Displays). Click on the chosen item and select "View." The completion of the challenge is confirmed by the appearance of the Emit icon.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Many players report difficulties, often attributed to mods interfering with the "View" interaction. If encountering this problem, temporarily disabling mods might resolve the issue. If the problem persists, trying multiple museum exhibits is recommended. Hopefully, EA will address this bug soon.

All Week 2 Quests

Even after completing the Historical Display task, several other challenges remain in Week 2:

  • Read the History of Time Travel at a Library
  • Experience the Past by Playing The Sims Archives vol. 2
