Welcome to the world of Hollow Era, a thrilling Roblox game inspired by the Bleach anime universe. In this comprehensive guide, we'll delve into the progression of becoming a Shinigami (Soul Reaper), one of the two main archetypes alongside Hollow. Sharpen your sword, harness your Reiatsu, and let's explore the journey of a Shinigami in Hollow Era.
How to Become a Shinigami in Hollow Era
Your journey begins as a Soul Spirit, navigating the afterlife. To transition into a Shinigami, you must seek out the Hurt Shinigami NPC, who offers a quest that initiates your transformation. Once you accept, you're committed to the path of a Soul Reaper, with no option to revert to a Hollow unless you later choose to become a Visored.

Choosing to become a Hollow involves breaking your chain, while opting for Shinigami means your chain will gradually break over time. Every two minutes, a section of the chain deteriorates, and if it breaks entirely, you'll become a Hollow. Should this happen, refer to our guide on Hollow progression for next steps.
Hollow Era Shinigami Quests Guide
Your initial task as a Shinigami involves purifying 6 Lost Souls, reflecting your role in maintaining the balance between life and death. Following this, you'll receive a quest from an NPC near the Hurt Shinigami to deliver a letter to a Doctor near the hospital.

Consider purchasing a $1,000 random sword of power from a Urakara shop and, if possible, invest in the bus stop teleport for $200 to ease navigation across the expansive map. For a more permanent solution, you can buy infinite fast travel in the Robux Shop for 149 Robux.

These quests range from defeating Hollows to battling Corrupted Shinigamis, guiding you to level 15 and beyond. They include repeatable quests, progression quests, and those tied to specific paths like Vizard and Airwalk.

To maximize your Shinigami potential, strategic investment of your skill points is crucial. The Reiatsu Skill Tree offers various Kido abilities exclusive to Shinigami:
- Caja Negacion: Unleash a beam of lightning from your finger, which, when combined with Electric, spreads electricity from the target.
- Shakkaho: Launch a red ball of energy that explodes on impact, capable of ragdolling opponents with Ragdoll or setting them ablaze with Fire.
- Chain Bind: Summon energy chains to pull enemies towards you.
- Prison of Light: Immobilize foes with six light rods, ideal for agile enemies.
- Thunder Sear: Deploy a slow-moving ball of lightning that causes electric damage and explodes on contact, perfect for crowd control.
How to Get Shikai in Hollow Era
Achieving Shikai requires reaching level 15 and completing the Shikai Training quest from Urihiro. Your challenge is to defeat Urahara Kisuke, rewarding you with 1,700 EXP and the ability to use Shikai powers.

Screenshot by The EscapistWarning: Facing Kisuke at level 15 can be tough without a well-optimized hero. Consider grinding to level 25 or higher if you're underprepared.
Using Shikai
Upon unlocking Shikai, your weapon gains a random powerful ability. If unsatisfied, you can re-roll at the Urahara Shop for a fee. Shikai activation is tied to a Rage Bar, filled by dealing or receiving damage. Press Y (default keybind) to activate Shikai, which lasts until your Reiatsu is depleted or you release the key.
Hollow Era Shikai Mastering
Your Shikai's effectiveness grows with your Mastery Level, determined by Mastery Points earned through using Shikai skills. Higher Mastery Levels reduce Rage consumption and enhance your aura effects:
- Mastery Level 1 (1-149 Points): Grants Transparent Aura.
- Mastery Level 2 (150-299 Points): Enhances aura with brighter particles.
- Mastery Level 3 (300-499 Points): Boosts aura with Lightning.
- Mastery Level 4 (500+ Points): Surrounds you with a zone of flying stones.
Becoming a Visored in the Hollow Era
Once committed to the Shinigami path, the only way to access Hollow abilities is by becoming a Visored. This requires reaching level 50 and obtaining the Vizard fighting style from the Vizard’s Warehouse. To fully embrace your Visored potential, you must defeat the King of Hueco Mundo for a Hogyoku, which has a mere 1% drop rate.
