The studio has officially begun its search for a Game Director, with Warner Bros. Discovery posting a job listing on February 17. This move signals the early stages of development for what could be another blockbuster title.

The job description outlines the role's responsibilities, which include crafting a "high-quality game design" that covers core gameplay mechanics, player progression, combat systems, and mission design. The ideal candidate should possess a broad experience across multiple genres, including third-person action, open-world adventures, and melee combat games. This requirement has fueled speculation that Rocksteady may be planning a return to the Batman universe—a franchise that not only put the studio on the map but also set a high standard for superhero video games.

The Batman: Arkham series, known for its focus on melee combat and intricate open-world design, closely aligns with the skills sought in the job listing.
