What's the Pokémon GO Safari Ball?
Long-time Pokémon fans will recognize Safari Zones from the main series games – special areas for catching rare Pokémon without battling. Niantic is recreating this experience with the Wild Area event.
Pokémon GO hasn't introduced many new Poké Balls. We're familiar with the standard Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, Premier Balls, and the coveted Master Ball. The Safari Ball represents a significant addition.
The Wild Area event runs globally from November 23rd to November 24th, 2024, ending at 6:15 pm local time. Important: Unused Safari Balls disappear after the event concludes.
During the event, the Safari Ball becomes the ideal tool for capturing powerful Pokémon. It's intriguing that Niantic chose a new event rather than the Safari Zone or City Safari events to introduce this ball.
