Capcom has rolled out Monster Hunter Wilds hotfix 1.000.05.00 across all platforms, delivering critical updates and bug fixes to enhance gameplay.
This update resolves multiple progression blockers and addresses various bugs, though performance enhancements are absent from the patch notes detailed below.
Monster Hunter Wilds maintains a ‘mixed’ user review rating on Steam despite its record-shattering launch, with most criticism targeting PC performance challenges.
Despite these hurdles, Monster Hunter Wilds’ triumph is undeniable. It sold an impressive 8 million copies in just three days, marking it as Capcom’s fastest-selling title ever. On Steam, it achieved the fifth-highest concurrent player count, peaking at 1,384,608—surpassing Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. By contrast, Monster Hunter: World peaked at 334,684.
A title update for Monster Hunter Wilds, slated for early April, will introduce a new endgame area and additional monster-hunting content for players to explore.
