Microsoft Making Big Changes to Game Pass Quests and Rewards

Feb 23,2025 Author: Nova

Xbox Game Pass is enhancing its rewards program with new Quests and updated point-earning opportunities, exclusively for players 18 and older. Starting January 7th, PC Game Pass users will gain access to these features, previously limited to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

This expansion aims to create "age-appropriate gaming experiences," restricting access to the revamped rewards system for those under 18. The changes include daily, weekly, and monthly quests offering points redeemable for rewards. The popular weekly streaks also return, offering point multipliers based on consecutive weeks of gameplay.

Key updates include:

  • PC Game Pass Quest Access: Available January 7th.
  • New Quest Types: Daily Play (10 points for 15 minutes of gameplay), Weekly Streaks (increasing point multipliers for consecutive weeks), Monthly 4-Pack & 8-Pack (playing four or eight different games for at least 15 minutes each).
  • PC Weekly Bonus: 150 points for playing at least 15 minutes for five or more days a week.
  • Age Restriction: The Rewards Hub and all associated benefits are now exclusive to players 18 and older. Younger players can only earn rewards through parental purchases from the Microsoft Store.

The updated system simplifies point accumulation with consistent daily, weekly, and monthly opportunities, encouraging exploration of the Game Pass catalog. While rewarding consistent players with increased point multipliers, Microsoft prioritizes age-appropriate content delivery. This update provides a more engaging and rewarding experience for eligible Game Pass subscribers.
