The Empire of Eternal Night version of Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Santorum was added to *Marvel Rivals* in Season 1. This map is unique as it's the only one to feature the Doom Match mode, a free-for-all deathmatch where players compete to eliminate others and survive. At the end of the match, players in the top half of the leaderboard earn wins, with the top player receiving the MVP title.
The Sanctum Santorum map offers a stunning rendition of Doctor Strange's mystical mansion, first introduced in a 1963 comic. Known from its appearances in the *MCU*, this location in New York City serves as Earth's supernatural defense in *Marvel Rivals*. The map is filled with secrets and easter eggs, including supernatural rooms with impossible ceilings, portals, an infinite staircase, and even the chance to interact with Bats The Ghost Dog.
While details are still emerging, the Central Park map is set to launch in the latter half of *Marvel Rivals* Season 1. Located in Manhattan, between the Upper West Side and Upper East Side, Central Park has been a staple in numerous *Marvel* properties, most notably in the 2023 *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2* video game.
In *Marvel Rivals*, the Central Park map will focus on a stylized version of Belvedere Castle, situated at one of the park's highest points.
