KONOSUBA: Fantastic Days Facing Closure, Offline Version Possible

KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, the popular mobile RPG from Sesisoft, is ending its service on January 30th, 2025. Both global and Japanese servers will shut down simultaneously after a nearly five-year run. However, a glimmer of hope remains: developers are exploring the possibility of releasing a limited offline version preserving the main storyline, key quests, and significant events. Further details on this offline version are pending.

Refunds and In-App Purchases:

The in-app purchase system was disabled on October 31st, 2024. Players can still utilize existing Quartz and in-game items until the service ends. Refunds for unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 are available until January 30th, 2025. Official channels will close on February 28th, 2025.

A Look Back at KonoSuba: Fantastic Days:

Launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game based on the KonoSuba franchise. The game featured a charming story, appealing visuals, and an engaging visual novel-style story mode, set in a world threatened by the Devil King's army. Despite its strengths, it ultimately succumbed to the challenges faced by many gacha RPGs, including declining player interest and high production costs.

With only a few months remaining, now is the time for those who haven't experienced it to download KonoSuba: Fantastic Days on the Google Play Store. After you finish, consider checking out our recent article on Orna: The GPS MMORPG's new Conqueror's Guild for PvP battles.
