Demon hunting awaits. Netflix is bringing Devil May Cry to life as an anime, and a thrilling new trailer offers a glimpse of what's to come. Even more exciting, the late, iconic voice actor Kevin Conroy will star posthumously in this adaptation of the beloved game.

Conroy, renowned for voicing Bruce Wayne and Batman across numerous animated films and series, lends his voice to VP Baines, a fresh character introduced in the trailer’s opening narration.

In July 2024, Conroy earned praise for his posthumous role in Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part 3. Fans now have another opportunity to cherish his talent following his passing in November 2022 at age 66. Joining him are Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary, Hoon Lee as White Rabbit, Chris Coppola as Enzo, and Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante.

Netflix’s official synopsis reveals, “Dark forces conspire to breach the barrier between human and demon realms. Caught in the chaos is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds rests with him.”

Showrunner Adi Shankar, who produced the 2012 Judge Dredd reboot, Killing Them Softly, and The Voices, leads the series. Shankar is also attached to an Assassin’s Creed adaptation, though its progress remains uncertain since its 2017 announcement.

South Korea’s Studio Mir, known for The Legend of Korra and X-Men ‘97, is the primary production studio. Devil May Cry premieres on Netflix April 3, 2025.
