Te espera la caza del demonio. Netflix va a dar vida a Devil May Cry en forma de anime, y un nuevo y emocionante tráiler ofrece una idea de lo que está por llegar. Y lo que es aún más emocionante, el fallecido e icónico actor de doblaje Kevin Conroy protagonizará póstumamente esta adaptación del entrañable juego.
Conroy, famoso por poner voz a Bruce Wayne y Batman en numerosas películas y series de animación, presta su voz a VP Baines, un nuevo personaje introducido en la narración inicial del tráiler.
En julio de 2024, Conroy recibió elogios por su papel póstumo en Liga de la Justicia: Crisis en Tierras Infinitas: Parte 3. Los fans tienen ahora otra oportunidad de apreciar su talento tras su fallecimiento en noviembre de 2022 a los 66 años. Junto a él están Scout Taylor-Compton como Mary, Hoon Lee como White Rabbit, Chris Coppola como Enzo y Johnny Yong Bosch como Dante.
La sinopsis oficial de Netflix revela: "Fuerzas oscuras conspiran para romper la barrera entre los reinos humano y demoníaco. Atrapado en el caos está Dante, un huérfano cazador de demonios a sueldo, inconsciente de que el destino de ambos mundos depende de él."
El showrunner Adi Shankar, que produjo el reboot de Judge Dredd en 2012, Killing Them Softly y The Voices, dirige la serie. Shankar también está vinculado a una adaptación de Assassin's Creed, aunque su progreso sigue siendo incierto desde su anuncio en 2017.
El estudio surcoreano Studio Mir, conocido por La leyenda de Korra y X-Men '97, es el estudio de producción principal. Devil May Cry se estrenará en Netflix el 3 de abril de 2025.
