The much-anticipated Infinity Nikki and its multiplayer-focused 1.5 update have finally hit Steam, but the release has been overshadowed by a series of technical issues, controversial design changes, and demanding outfit requirements. After months of exclusivity on the Epic Game Store, fans were eager to dive into the stylish dress-up adventure on Valve's platform. However, the launch was far from smooth, with players encountering crashes and general instability that prevented them from even starting the game. Infold Games quickly issued an apology and promised compensation, yet the battle for Infinity Nikki is far from over.

The release of two new five-star outfits, Snowbound Ballad and Undying Ember, each containing 11 pieces, has stirred significant discontent among the player base. These outfits require up to 220 pulls to complete, a much higher demand than players are accustomed to, and it came without any prior warning. This has raised concerns that future outfit requirements may escalate even further.
Adding to the confusion, Infold extended the Crown of Miraland: Peak Arena event from two to three weeks, leaving the community bewildered amidst the ongoing technical issues. As Infold introduced monetization practices that seemed to demand more from its players, the Chinese player base took to the social media platform RedNote to voice their frustrations. This quickly evolved into a widespread movement, with players worldwide calling for a boycott of Infinity Nikki on Steam, urging others to leave negative reviews and uninstall the game across all platforms.
Reddit user kiaxxl highlighted the importance of withholding pulls to influence the game's direction, stating, "Holding back your pulls for a couple of days can help show we want IN to remain fun and fair for all players." This sentiment resonated across social media, leading to a "Mixed" rating on Steam as players warned newcomers to steer clear until their demands are met.
The pressure from the community prompted Infold to issue an apology letter across its official channels, acknowledging the technical issues and promising improved communication moving forward. The letter included plans to revert Mira Crown to end on May 16 and start the next season on the same day, alongside compensation in the form of 10 Revelation Crystals, 10 Resonance Crystals, and 1200 Diamonds. While some players viewed this as a victory, others remained skeptical, particularly about the persistence of 11-piece outfits.
Apology Letter Regarding Version 1.5 Gaming Experience
Dear Stylists,

The community's frustration was further echoed by players like Denise92 on Twitter, who called for changes in drop rates and more generous rewards, stating, "I wish you would finally change the drop rate.. it can't be that I need 200 pulls to get a 5-star and then you drop like 5 banners within weeks?! Make the rate lower or give us more diamonds to be able to get crystals.. this is not fun!"
Despite the partial concessions from Infold, the community remains vigilant. Reddit user EdensAsmr warned, "Think about it: CN players are pointing out that if we accept the 11-piece outfits and pity as it is, most new 5 stars will **be** 11 pieces. Imagine if every new major update has two 11-piece 5-star banners? That means you have to save even more to be able to handle it, and 70-80 pulls per patch will **not** cut it."
