In Hyper Light Breaker, mastering the game involves collecting seven essential resources. These resources are crucial for acquiring gear, unlocking permanent upgrades, enhancing survivability, and expanding your roster of characters. However, understanding how to obtain and utilize these resources can be challenging. This guide aims to clarify these aspects, providing players with comprehensive insights into each resource.

Resources are neatly organized under the items tab in the inventory menu, allowing players to keep track of their collected assets easily.

How to Get & Use Bright Blood in Hyper Light Breaker

Bright Blood is the most abundant resource in Hyper Light Breaker, and players can collect it by defeating enemies, destroying objects, and opening crates within the Overgrowth. Additionally, selling gear to vendors in the Hub can yield more Bright Blood.

Players can utilize Bright Blood for various purposes, including:

  • Looting Blades and Rails from bodies in the Overgrowth.
  • Opening Stashes and other crates in the Overgrowth.
  • Purchasing new gear from vendors in the Overgrowth and Hub.
  • Upgrading gear at vendors in the Hub.

How to Get & Use Gold Ration in Hyper Light Breaker

Gold Rations are earned by completing Cycles. Early on, players may complete Cycles by dying four times and exhausting all their Rezes. After using up all four Rezes, players should locate an NPC at the Telepad in the Hub and provide the requested materials to reset the Overgrowth, advancing towards earning Gold Rations.

Gold Rations are pivotal in the meta-progression system. They can unlock permanent upgrades through Pherus Bit in the Hub and grant access to new services from vendors in the Hub.

How to Get & Use Abyss Stone in Hyper Light Breaker

Abyss Stones are obtained by defeating Crowns, formidable bosses found through gates in the Overgrowth. To battle Crowns, players must first collect Prism, which are marked with yellow diamonds on the in-game map.

Like Gold Rations, Abyss Stones contribute to meta-progression. They can be used to enhance the stats of Sycoms and unlock new characters during loadout confirmation, providing advantages in future missions.

How to Get & Use Key in Hyper Light Breaker

Keys are occasionally obtained by opening small containers in the Overgrowth. These caches are not usually marked on the in-game map, making them challenging to find.

Keys are essential for bypassing barriers in the Overgrowth, allowing access to Stashes and other lootable containers, and for entering Labs, subterranean areas filled with enemies and items.

How to Get & Use MediGem in Hyper Light Breaker

MediGems are a vital resource, earned by interacting with glowing flowers in the Overgrowth. They are exchanged for Medkits when deploying from the Hub's Telepad or visiting Shrines in the Overgrowth.

To utilize MediGems, players must first expand their Medkit capacity to one by visiting Pherus Bit in the Hub and using one Gold Ration to unlock the Medkit Capacity node.

How to Get & Use Core in Hyper Light Breaker

Cores are another meta-progression resource found in Stashes within the Overgrowth, marked with chest icons on the map. They can also be assembled from four Core Shards, which are obtained by defeating Prism-awarding enemies and from unmarked objects like bone piles during exploration.

Cores are used to upgrade a player's Sycom during loadout confirmation, enhancing the stats of their Breakers before entering the Overgrowth.

How to Get & Use Material in Hyper Light Breaker

Materials are primarily obtained by using Bright Blood to open small chests in the Overgrowth, often marked with gems on the map. Additional Materials can be gained by selling gear to vendors in the Hub.

This resource is used to purchase gear from vendors in both the Hub and the Overgrowth, similar to Bright Blood but with more restricted applications.
