Hollow Knight Silksong's release remains elusive, much to the amusement (and frustration) of its dedicated fanbase. After missing its anticipated 2024 launch, fans eagerly await its arrival in the current year. Recently, Team Cherry, the developers, stirred the pot once more with a cryptic image.

A simple picture of a single cake was shared by Team Cherry members, sparking immediate speculation of an elaborate ARG (alternate reality game) among enthusiastic players. A full-blown "slender theory" quickly emerged.

However, the developers swiftly dispelled these theories, clarifying that the cake image was not part of an ARG.

Despite the official explanation, some fans remain unconvinced, clinging to the belief that Team Cherry is orchestrating a larger reveal, possibly a full game presentation in April. Meanwhile, development continues, and the official release date remains shrouded in mystery.
