
Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Overhaul Arrives December 3rd!
Get ready for a celestial shake-up! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds mode is launching Season 9 on December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes, updates, and exciting new features. Prepare for cosmic vibes, cutting-edge tech, and a completely revamped minion lineup – it's like the Tavern got a galactic makeover!
Key Updates:
Bob's Technotavern is getting a major upgrade! Season 9 resets ratings and bids farewell to Trinkets, replacing them with brand-new Battlegrounds Tokens. These tokens let you reroll a hero option at the selection screen – perfect for escaping those less-than-ideal choices.
Minion Reveal Schedule:
Before the full launch, Hearthstone is unveiling new minions in a series of reveals:
- November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
- November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
- November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
- November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
- November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
- December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes release.
More New Additions:
Season 9 introduces three new heroes, with Farseer Nobundo already generating considerable buzz with his Galaxy's Lens ability. Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are either joining or leaving the game.
Solo Battlegrounds Damage Cap Adjustments:
A new damage cap is being implemented for solo Battlegrounds matches only. The cap starts at 5 damage in the early game, rising to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. However, once you reach the top 4, the cap is removed.
Minion Pool Rollout:
- December 3rd: Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs enter the pool.
- December 5th: Murlocs and Demons join the fray.
- December 9th: Undead and Elementals complete the lineup.
