A Mortal Kombat 1 dataminer has uncovered intriguing evidence suggesting that the iconic fighting game might introduce Hara-Kiri Fatalities as Quitalities. Redditor InfiniteNightZ shared a video showcasing what appear to be Hara-Kiri animations in Mortal Kombat 1. For those unfamiliar, Hara-Kiri finishers, which debuted in 2004's Mortal Kombat: Deception, allow a defeated player to execute their own self-Fatality.

.reddit-embed-wrapper iframe { margin-left: 0 !important; }The discovery of Hara-Kiri animations for recently released DLC characters like Ghostface lends weight to the theory that these animations could be incorporated into Mortal Kombat 1 in an upcoming update. "After seeing that they're adding it to the downloaded roster now, I think it's highly possible," InfiniteNightZ remarked.
Moreover, InfiniteNightZ pointed out that these animations are tagged as Quitalities within the game's code. Quitalities are swift finishers that activate when a player exits a multiplayer match prematurely, a feature seen in previous Mortal Kombat titles. "They are listed as Quitalities, there's still hope," InfiniteNightZ added, suggesting that these animations might be repurposed for this function.
Following InfiniteNightZ's findings, another well-known Mortal Kombat 1 dataminer, Interloko, discovered additional Hara-Kiri animations.
Thanks @MatthewDim40523 for tag me
Here are another 2 missing from the video, so looks like only Omniman and Conan doesn't have one.
I didn't try to trigger it in the game because I'm busy finishing some stuff of the demo of my own game https://t.co/TqBKyauY0G pic.twitter.com/hL4QzLRXwf

It's important to remember that these findings are speculative, and neither NetherRealm Studios nor Warner Bros. Games has officially announced the inclusion of Quitalities in Mortal Kombat 1.
In other news, Mortal Kombat 1 has seen a recent surge in popularity thanks to the addition of a secret fight with Floyd, the pink ninja, and the community's efforts to unlock him. Fans are also eagerly anticipating the arrival of the T-1000 guest character, with more DLC potentially on the horizon, though NetherRealm has not yet confirmed any further additions.
