The Fell Omen bosses from Elden Ring have become legendary, and it's thrilling to see FromSoftware unleash them once more in Elden Ring Nightreign, roaming freely across the Lands Between. Morgott, a notorious boss from the original game, continues to haunt players in Nightreign with his phantom versions capable of startling invasions throughout the campaign. This feature, reminiscent of his surprise appearances in Elden Ring, has been enhanced in Nightreign, where an upgraded version of Morgott, dubbed the unnamed Fell Omen, can ambush players unexpectedly.
Morgott isn't the only boss capable of invading your party in Nightreign, yet his presence is particularly apt. Not only does it echo his sudden attacks in Elden Ring, but he also comes equipped with new voice lines and additional moves, making him an even more formidable adversary. When you can bring two friends into the fray, it's only fitting that Morgott gets to showcase his new tricks.
In addition to his invasions, the Fell Omen can also serve as an end-of-night boss, providing a climactic showdown as the sun sets during the Elden Ring Nightreign test.

During the recent Elden Ring Nightreign sessions, many testers, including the famed player Let Me Solo Her, faced off against the Fell Omen. The general consensus? Morgott, also known as Margit or the Fell Omen, remains a formidable and cunning foe. Players on the Elden Ring Nightreign subreddit praised Morgott's invasion mechanic as a highlight, with many sharing stories of where they encountered him—whether as a night boss, on elevators, or within towers. His unpredictable appearances often lead to humorous and intense encounters.
The surprise invasions by the Fell Omen have sparked excitement about the potential for other iconic enemies to make similar appearances. The Pursuer from Dark Souls 2, for instance, would be a welcome addition. Personally, I'd be thrilled to see Hunters from Bloodborne invade, though this seems unlikely given the game's separate universe.

There may be even more to the Fell Omen's invasions. GamesRadar reported an instance where the Omen not only defeated a co-op partner but also left a curse mark on the fallen player, hinting at deeper mechanics within the game. As more players engage with Elden Ring Nightreign, the full scope of these features will become clearer.
Despite server issues during the first network test, numerous players explored the Lands Between over the weekend. The full release of Nightreign is eagerly anticipated on May 30. In the meantime, you can check out our hands-on impressions of Elden Ring Nightreign for a deeper look into what the game offers.
