Square Enix brings the Dragon Quest Monsters series to mobile with Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, following its December 2023 Nintendo Switch release. This seventh installment offers a fresh perspective on a familiar character.
Players embody Psaro, a young man cursed by his father, the Master of Monsterkind, rendering him incapable of harming monsters. To lift the curse, Psaro embarks on a journey to become a Monster Wrangler.
He partners with monsters, climbing the ranks to potentially achieve his father's title. Fans of Dragon Quest IV will recognize Psaro as the villain; here, however, we experience his story.
The game unfolds in Nadiria, a world where seasonal changes and dynamic weather significantly impact gameplay. Recruit, train, and fuse over 500 unique monsters to create formidable allies. Weather conditions influence monster appearances, ensuring constant discovery. The roster boasts incredible diversity, ranging from adorable creatures to bizarre behemoths.
