Wolcen Studio has revealed Project Pantheon, a free-to-play combat RPG blending the thrilling risk-reward of extraction shooters with the dynamic combat of established RPGs. A closed alpha test kicks off January 25th in Europe, expanding to North America on February 1st.
"We've combined the tension and risk-reward of an extraction shooter with the intense battle dynamics of a combat RPG," explains game director Andrei Cirkulete. Drawing inspiration from titles like Diablo and Escape from Tarkov, Project Pantheon promises a unique gameplay experience. The team eagerly anticipates player feedback.
Players assume the role of a Death's messenger, striving to restore order to a shattered world. Engage in combat against AI and other players across diverse maps. Successful evacuations secure hard-earned trophies, while failure results in the loss of all collected loot.
Customization is key. Build your own base, personalize your equipment, and experiment with various playstyles. The game's world draws inspiration from global mythologies, with player trading forming the core of its economy.
The initial adventure unfolds in "Destiny's Edge," a region evocative of Scandinavian legends. Despite being in early alpha, Wolcen Studio is committed to active community engagement, shaping Project Pantheon through player feedback and collaboration.
