Diablo 4 players have stumbled upon a powerful infinite damage build that not only deals massive amounts of damage but also causes server lag. This exploit has sparked discussions among the community, especially in light of the game’s latest season and its new boss powers. Read on to find out how this build works and what it means for Diablo 4 gameplay.
Diablo 4 Latest Updates
Infinite Damage Build Boss Powers Make Servers Lag

With the arrival of Diablo 4’s newest season, players can now experiment with fresh seasonal boss powers. When combined correctly, these mechanics enable an infinite damage loop—something YouTuber Macrobioboi demonstrated in a video uploaded on May 9. His showcase revealed how a specific configuration of boss powers and a Legendary Aspect can result in devastatingly high damage output and even cause performance issues on servers.
To pull off this build, players must equip the Vampiric Curse Legendary Aspect on their gear. This aspect applies a Vulnerable debuff to enemies, increasing the damage they take. More importantly, Vampiric Curse ensures the Vulnerable effect remains active until the enemy dies.

Next, the Flesh Reaper's Disruption boss power is used to stun enemies. Normally, this would remove the Vulnerable status—but due to the Vampiric Curse’s unique effect, Vulnerable stays active. As a result, the stun effect loops repeatedly without breaking.
The final piece of the puzzle is Varshan's Life Steal boss power, which triggers significant damage each time a boss power activates. When all three elements come together, the game engine processes a massive number of overlapping effects, ultimately causing server-side lag and performance hiccups.
As shown in a YouTube video by wudijo, the screen becomes overwhelmed with abilities and visual effects, leaving enemies perpetually stunned in place. He commented on the situation, saying, “There are a lot of calculations going on—it's very understandable that this is a laggy build.”
So far, Blizzard Entertainment hasn’t issued a statement or patch to address this resource-heavy build. That means players can still enjoy (or suffer from) the effects—at least for now.
Worrying Prices with Berserk Collab

Beyond the infinite damage issue, Diablo 4 is currently hosting a major collaboration with the legendary manga series *Berserk*. This crossover introduces exclusive cosmetics inspired by key characters and themes from the franchise. However, many fans are concerned about the steep price tags attached to these items.
Thankfully, not all Berserk-themed items require real money. Players can earn Behelits through regular gameplay and use them to unlock free cosmetics via the Berserk Reliquary. Some of the available free items include:
- Hawks Destiny Back Trophy
- Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor
- Brand of Sacrifice Marking
- Foretold Eclipse Headstone
- Od of the Berserker Emblem

For those seeking the full experience, the paid Berserk sets offer more iconic looks straight from the manga. These premium items are available for purchase using Diablo 4’s Platinum currency, with each skin priced at around 2,800 Platinum—roughly $28 per item. The full collection includes:
- The Berserker Armor, Barbarian – 2,800 Platinum
- The Hawk of Light, Rogue – 2,800 Platinum
- The Struggler, Rogue – 2,800 Platinum
- The Skull Knight, Necromancer – 2,800 Platinum
- The Schnoz, Pet Bundle – 2,800 Platinum
- Warhorse of the Hawk, Mount and Mount Armor – 2,500 Platinum
Purchasing everything adds up quickly—totaling approximately $150 or 15,000 Platinum when buying individually. While players receive 3,500 Platinum for free, it barely makes a dent in the overall cost.

While this pricing model isn’t surprising—given Diablo 4’s previous World of Warcraft collaboration—it does raise concerns about the future of cross-promotions. If this trend continues, fans may need to spend significantly more to enjoy upcoming IP collaborations.
Ultimately, many players are hesitating before purchasing the Berserk sets. Despite the high-quality design and thematic appeal, the steep cost is proving to be a major barrier for casual fans.
