Changing Appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds (Hunter and Palico)
Monster Hunter Wilds offers an incredibly detailed character creator, allowing you to craft an avatar that could closely resemble you in real life. If you find yourself wanting to tweak your character's look mid-game, you're in luck. Once you've unlocked the base camp, head to your tent and navigate to the Appearance Menu by pressing L1 or R1. From there, select the "Change Appearance" option, and you'll be able to revisit the character creator to adjust both your Hunter and Palico's appearance.
How to Change Outfits and Use Layered Armor
The Layered Armor feature is available right from the start of Monster Hunter Wilds. To access it, go to your tent, enter the Appearance Menu, and choose "Equipment Appearance." This allows you to customize your Hunter's outfit using the Layered Armor items you've unlocked. Note that you can't use this feature to transmog your equipped armor with other armor types you've forged in the game.
There's also an option for "Palico Equipment Appearance," which lets you apply Layered Armor items to your Palico.
If the Layered Armor options don't meet your style, the only other way to change your outfit is by forging and equipping new armor. Keep in mind that each piece of equipment has different stats, so it's important not to sacrifice functionality for fashion.
Seikret Customization
In the Appearance Menu, you'll find the "Seikret Customization" option. This feature allows you to alter your Seikret's skin and feather colors, as well as tweak settings like its pattern, decoration type, and even its eye color.
