After numerous delays, the much-anticipated Cassette Beasts has finally made its global debut on Android. Developed by Bytten Studio and published by Raw Fury, this game arrives on mobile platforms two years after its initial PC release. If you're new to the concept of cassettes, those nostalgic relics your parents might have used for music, a quick Google search can catch you up.
Play the Cassette Beasts on Your Player
In Cassette Beasts, you find yourself stranded on the bizarre island of New Wirral, a place that feels out of time and reality. The island is teeming with monsters, and locals transform into creatures to combat them, all while the society revolves around cassette tapes.
Your mission is to survive and find a way back home. To achieve this, you'll need to use your cassette player to record the monsters you encounter. Once recorded, you can play these tapes back to transform into the monsters themselves.
Forge strong bonds with the residents of Harbourtown, and you'll unlock the ability to fuse monster forms with your partner, creating spectacular hybrid creatures. With the potential to combine any two monsters, the possibilities are virtually limitless.
There’s a Whole World to Explore
New Wirral is packed with dungeons, puzzles, and secret areas that you can only access with the right monster abilities. You'll glide over cliffs, swim through mysterious waters, scale impossible walls, and perhaps even become magnetic.
The game features a turn-based combat system enriched with an elemental chemistry mechanic. By strategically combining different types, you can manipulate your enemies, enhance your team, or even alter an opponent's elemental type during battle.
Cassette Beasts supports Bluetooth controllers, though you might encounter minor issues. The game is free to play, so if you're interested, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
