Season 2 of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* has officially launched today, introducing a game-changing feature that simplifies the progression grind: the Camo Challenge Tracking feature. This new addition is a boon for players, and here's how it enhances your gameplay experience.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Gives Simple Access to Camo Challenge Progress
The latest update to *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* introduces the Camo Challenge Tracking feature, as detailed in the patch notes: "The Challenge Tracker makes it easy for players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges they’re actively working toward, but there’s another element of this system that we think players will find useful on the journey to Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter: Near Completion." This feature allows players to select 10 camos to monitor, providing easy access to progress tracking during gameplay without needing to navigate through the main menu. Additionally, it offers notifications for challenges nearing completion, even if they're not among the manually selected ones.

How To Track Camo and Calling Card Challenges in Black Ops 6

To track a challenge, navigate to the desired Camo or Calling Card challenge. Use the Y button on Xbox or the Triangle button on PlayStation to add it to your tracker. This allows you to monitor your progress in real-time during matches, rather than waiting until after to plan your next steps towards unlocking new camos.
Even without manually selecting a challenge, the game automatically populates the tracker with the challenges you're closest to completing. This information is always available, making it easy to stay informed about what you're about to unlock.
You can also find the top tracked or near-complete challenges in the *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* lobby under the Daily Challenge section, providing a comprehensive view of the camos and calling cards you're close to unlocking.
With the Season 2 update, the path to unlocking special camos has been streamlined. Previously, you needed to unlock nine military camos to access a special camo, but now, only five are required. However, to achieve the coveted mastery camos, you still need to unlock two special camos.
The community has long discussed the overwhelming number of camos per weapon and the challenge of tracking progress and earning necessary headshots and kills. Treyarch seems to be responding to this feedback by implementing more efficient ways to track, earn, and equip camos, enhancing the overall enjoyment of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*.
