The critically acclaimed hack-and-slash platformer, Blasphemous, has arrived on Android! Initially released in September 2019 for PC and consoles, this Metroidvania masterpiece from Spanish studio The Game Kitchen is now available for mobile.
Blasphemous on Android: A Grim Journey
Prepare to enter a world consumed by darkness, where every encounter is a struggle against an inescapable fate. A standout feature of the Android version is the inclusion of all DLC from day one. Players can enjoy the experience using either a gamepad or intuitive touch controls.
The narrative centers around The Penitent One, a solitary warrior trapped in a cycle of death and rebirth, desperately seeking to break free from the curse known as The Miracle. The journey takes you through Cvstodia, a gothic land filled with disturbing landscapes, hidden secrets, and numerous mysteries to unravel. The story unfolds with depth and complexity, mirroring the gameplay itself. Cvstodia's tormented inhabitants, each with their own tales of sorrow and redemption, will either aid your quest or challenge your choices, leading to multiple game endings.
A Symphony of Darkness: Sound and Combat
Blasphemous's haunting soundtrack perfectly complements the game's oppressive atmosphere. The combat system, featuring the Mea Culpa sword and its spectacular, pixel-perfect, gore-filled animations, is both intense and rewarding. Players can customize their character's abilities by equipping relics, rosary beads, and prayers.
The Android port is already receiving updates, with touch control customization and a full-screen mode (removing black borders) on the horizon. This makes for a compelling mobile adaptation. Download Blasphemous from the Google Play Store today!
