How to Complete All Arata Stages in GHOUL://RE
After extensive experimentation, we've successfully navigated all three Arata stages in GHOUL://RE. While these stages don't demand exceptional gaming skills or extensive exploration, they do require significant Reputation grinding—and we mean a lot!
Arata Stage 1 in GHOUL://RE
To kick things off, you'll need to amass 25,000 Reputation points and reach the top rank of Special Investigator within the C.C.G. organization. Head to the Commission of Counter Ghoul (C.C.G. center) and seek out Damiro D. Mado on the second floor. He'll task you with collecting 10 one-eyed fragments and 10 Kokuja fragments.

The quickest way to gather these fragments is by defeating bosses such as Eto and Tatara, shown below, and then crafting them at a workstation. To check your Reputation, consult Saiyo Natsuki, the NPC in the black suit and tie. Once you've acquired all 20 fragments, craft them into five one-eyed Kokuja fragments at the workstation. If bosses prove challenging, our GHOUL://RE Boss and Raid Guide is your go-to resource.

After turning in the fragments to Damiro, he'll instruct you to talk to "him." This has been a puzzle for the GHOUL://RE community, but "he" is actually Black Reaper of Doom And Despair, who's been hiding in plain sight. For all NPC locations, check out our comprehensive guide.
Arata Stage 2 in GHOUL://RE
For Arata stages 2 and 3, you'll need to play in permadeath (PD) mode to unlock the legendary armor. We recommend teaming up with reliable allies, as solo missions can be tough.
Once you've earned 100,000 Reputation points, take the elevator in the C.C.G. building to the Laboratory and speak with Black Reaper of Doom And Despair, the man with the scalpel in a black suit by the door.

Hand over five one-eyed Kokuja fragments and your 100,000 Reputation, and you'll complete Stage 2 of acquiring the Arata-Proto armor. Despite rumors suggesting you only need 75,000 or between 90,000 to 100,000 Reputation, our experience confirms that 100,000 Reputation points are necessary for guaranteed success.
Remember, Arata Stages 2 and 3 must be played on PD servers to progress. Otherwise, you'll get stuck and won't complete Arata Stage 2 or access Arata Stage 3.
Arata Stage 3 in GHOUL://RE
The final Arata Stage involves Black Reaper of Doom And Despair, a one-eyed Kakuja fragment, and 500,000 Yen. In PD mode, visit Black Reaper in the C.C.G. building, pay him, and he'll teleport you to face the Kishou Arima boss.
Defeating Kishou Arima requires at least average gaming skills—expect to jump, dodge, block, and deal significant damage from above. While challenging, Kishou Arima is not invincible, and with practice, even average players can triumph.

Be prepared for multiple attempts, as each death will require another payment of an additional one-eyed Kakuja fragment and 500,000 Yen. Once you defeat Kishou Arima, you'll unlock Stage 3 Arata-Proto armor. However, remember that wearing Arata armor can be harmful to your character, as detailed below.
Arata Armor Tips & Tricks
Arata-Proto Armor Buffs
While Arata armor offers powerful buffs, it drains your hunger rapidly, and you can't eat while wearing it. To replenish your hunger, you'll need to remove the armor.
The benefits, however, are immense. You'll be immune to ragdolling in all game scenarios, and your character will become increasingly tanky, capable of absorbing and dealing massive damage. If your hunger depletes during combat, Arata will start consuming your health bar, so be cautious during boss fights and consider removing it if necessary.
Reputation Grinding
The fastest way to accumulate the required Reputation is to fight bosses in PD mode. Although risky, each boss defeated in PD mode grants 1,500 Reputation, far more than the 500 outside PD. Killing Ghouls only yields 100 Reputation per kill, making them less efficient for Arata quests.
